It seems pretty random. And you're right, it kinda is. But there is a story.

Started Young

I grew up riding horses, English style. I watched my older sister ride and fell in love with the animals. I rode regularly for 6.5 years, even showing a little bit. I spent my free time consuming horse-related media, like books and movies.

The Cowboy Principles

As I got older, I found myself inexplicably drawn to the style, candor, and tenacity of the cowboy. It is how I formed The Cowboy Principles, modeled after real cowboys:

1. Show up. Early.

2. Don't be afraid to get dirty.

3. Do what's right.

4. Get the job done.

Finding My Style

And yes, it is also my physical aesthetic. Bandanas, pearl snaps, and boots are pretty sweet.
